eta: i found him in the break room downstairs. all is right with the world.

i’m up watching my life as a teenage robot, which is one of my favourite new cartoons but nick stopped showing it. here’s my favourite episode where jenny (the robot) goes back to preschool.

anyhow, i just saw a commercial for the zoingo boingo. it looks a lot like the classic pogo ball, but with a a handle. i know that saying it’s just an updated pogo ball dates me terribly, but kids these days are getting ripped off. i guess it’s only a matter of time before popples come back, too.

i finally want to call albums that changed my life done, i mean dunzo. it’s pretty stupid and not very good looking, but it’s done. of course now it doesn’t seem to be loading, but i don’t care. the whole thing is one big sappy, schmaltz fest that i’m sure the sentimental people will enjoy. it’s all embarrassing, but that’s my cross to bear.

this morning i’m having cheerios and strawberries for breakfast. maude’s having strawberries and pellets. it’s sort of weird, but we’re pretty much having the same breakfast. i think this is like that kids in the hall skit where bruce almost has a moment with a dog. i’m not living a sham.

so it happened. i woke up at 4:46. this time i called my mom because i knew she’d be awake. sure enough, she knew it was me. ugh. this not sleeping is brutal. i am not a fan. i did putter around a little bit, and right now am doing some indexing for work. it’s not bad. i’m listening to soul music, which is calming me somewhat, but i feel like i should eat something and get dressed soon. i doubt i’ll be able to hang out at work all day today. stupid, stupid chemo.

when i was a little kid, i used to wake up before dawn and wake my mom up. she then told me to wait till the sun was up, so i would sit and wait to greet her when the sun rose. i guess i would stare at her and earnestly say, “the sun is up.” despite taking a sleeping pill last night, i woke up at 5:30. i was tempted to call my parents, but they’re in san francisco and i didn’t want to disturb them.

instead i took some pills and got a jump on my homework. maybe i’ll take a nap later, but for now i plan on finishing up my website about albums that changed my life for school. right now it’s pretty terrible, but just wait till a little bit later.

yep. joe helped me shave off the rest of my hair. it was clumping out and was pretty messy. now i’m cold. good thing to note- i don’t have a lumpy head.

chemo yesterday went well. they found the vein super fast and the nurses were all super happy to see my blue hair. they all felt bad that it was falling out, but that’s just par for the course.

i don’t have anything exciting to say really. i sat there for 2 and a half hours, i drank water, i played animal crossing, and i laughed a bunch. then i came home, ate a burrito and slept.

today, i’m not eating much, but that’s alright.

i want to go back to northern england. i’ve been feeling really nostalgic lately, and now that football’s practically over i really need to plan for next season. maybe i should try to get tickets for the sheffield derby at hillsborough?

when this cancer thing’s done, i’m going back to northern england. maybe for christmas again? i don’t know. it’s going to happen though.
